Junior Achievement of South Florida is embarking on an
ambitious, heart-stirring project to significantly transform how
every local student is taught to view the world of work, free
enterprise and his or her possibilities for success in it.
Anchored by two new, experienced-based JA programs,
The Institute for Free Enterprise Education will be a
50,000 square foot facility dedicated to the effective and
practical teaching of business, entrepreneurship and
personal finance. These two new programs are
JA Enterprise Village for 5th graders, and
JA Finance Park for 8th graders.

Junior Achievement was founded in 1919 by Theodore Vail, president of American Telephone & Telegraph. It's first program, The Company Program, was offered to high school students on an after-school basis. In 1975, the organization entered the classroom with the introduction of Project Business for the middle grades. In the last 25 years, Junior Achievement has gradually expanded its activities and broadened its scope to encompass an ever-widening student population.
